Small Businesses not into Social Media for Leads!

My social Network on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter...

According to a new Citibank / GfK Roper survey of 500 small business executives across the United States, 76% have not found social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to be helpful in generating business leads or for expanding their business last year, while 86% say they have not used social networking sites to get business advice or information.

Manage the Body: Manage the Emotions-Online Marketing!

Okay networkers, there are some limitations to what we can do online. We can’t go for a walk with our prospects, have a cup of coffee, shake their hands, play golf, etc…. So, how do we manage (or generate positive emotions) our prospects online without physical interaction.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENT!
Of the five senses we have only two available to us online, sight and sound. Use a video to introduce yourself, send them something funny and make them laugh, give them something free-no strings attached-but to get it-they have to take action.

Encourage your network to do something on the same day and come back over the weekend for feedback-not work or self promotion, i.e. (review a particular movie, certain wine, breast cancer run, etc…).

GIVE AND IT WILL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU!
